2024 Spring Plant Sale

Everything you need to know

The deadline for ordering is April 6th but quantities are limited and may run out before then.

The deadline for ordering has passed, but we will have lots of plants for sale at the pick up days!

Picking up your order

Order pick up will be at the Rochester Fairgrounds, 72 Lafayette Street, Rochester NH, on:

·       Friday, May 3rd, 3:00pm to 6:00pm

·       Saturday, May 4th, 9:00am to 3:00pm

Please let us know by May 4th if you can’t make it to either date and we will gladly find other arrangements. If we don’t hear from you, abandoned orders will be donated on May 10th as we don’t have the storage facilities to keep the plants alive.

Refund policy: We will refund you if the plants do not arrive from the nursery or are not viable on arrival (e.g., crop loss or damage during transportation). After pick up day, we do not provide refunds.

What’s a bare root?

You’ll see that many of the items are “bare roots.” That means it’s a dormant plant with no soil- it’s bare. Why? Bare root plants are much more efficient to ship and pack, so the price is much much lower than a similarly sized plant in a pot at a retail nursery. Some of the items are also a bit younger than what you would typically find at a retail nursery, but they will catch up in no time. We work with wholesale nurseries that we know provide high quality plants with very high survival rates.

Volunteering and Donating Supplies

Please consider volunteering to help with the Plant Sale! With many hands, we can make the plant sale an efficient operation and keep the costs as low as possible. This is a not-for-profit sale, and community makes it possible to keep doing it every year!

This year we are looking for used, donated supplies. If you have any of the following items that you want to get rid of, we can use them!

·       Plastic flower pots, at least 4 inches across

·       Plastic grocery bags

·       Paper grocery bags, paper lunch bags

·       Cardboard boxes, at least 18”x24”

If you’d like to donate any items, you can drop them off at the Fairgrounds during one of these times, or contact us to make other arrangements:

·       Friday, April 26th, 12:00pm – 3:00pm

·       Monday, April 29th, 10am -12:30pm

·       Plastic flower pots can also be dropped off when you pick up your order, but the other items won’t be needed any longer at that point.
