2026 Spring Plant Sale
Place your order online right here! The deadline for ordering is March 31st but quantities are limited and may run out before then.
Picking up your order
Order pick up will be at the Granite State (Rochester) Fairgrounds, 72 Lafayette Street, Rochester NH, on:
· Friday, April 24th, 2:00pm to 5:30pm
· Saturday, April 25th, 9:00am to noon
Please let us know by April 25th if you can’t make it to either date and we will gladly find other arrangements. If we don’t hear from you, abandoned orders will be donated on May 4th as we don’t have the storage facilities to keep the plants alive.
Volunteering
Please consider volunteering to help with the Plant Sale! With many hands, we can make the plant sale a fun and efficient operation and keep the costs as low as possible. This is a not-for-profit sale, and the community makes it possible, year after year! Volunteering will take place at the Granite State Fairgrounds, in an unheated barn. During the week, we pack and organize plants, and on Friday and Saturday, volunteers help facilitate order pick up. Sign up here: Plant Sale Volunteer Sign Up 2026 – Fill out form
Refund policy: We will refund you if the plants do not arrive from the nursery or are not viable on arrival (e.g., crop loss or damage during transportation). After pick up day, we do not provide refunds.
What’s a bare root?
You’ll see that many of the items are “bare roots.” That means it’s a dormant plant with no soil- it’s bare. Why? Bare root plants are much more efficient to ship and pack, so the price is much much lower than a similarly sized plant in a pot at a retail nursery. Some of the items are also a bit younger than what you would typically find at a retail nursery, but they will catch up in no time. We work with wholesale nurseries that we know provide high quality plants with very high survival rates.
New! Seed Sale
This year you can order a variety of vegetable, herb, and flower seeds from Fedco Seeds in Maine, and 50% of the proceeds will go to the Conservation District. Fedco is a great company to support; they produce lots of New England heirloom varieties! This sale is running separately from the Spring Plant Sale, use the link below to place your seed order.
The ordering deadline for seeds is February 28th, and the seed packets will be mailed to you the week of March 8-13 or thereabouts. The deadline is early to accommodate those who want to start seeds indoors or in a greenhouse.
