Native woodland wildflower! Grows to about 8 inches tall, and spreads in clumps over time. 2 inch white flowers bloom in spring. Plant goes dormant in mid to late summer. All parts of the plant have a reddish sap, thus the name, that was once used as a dye. Great for shade gardens, woodlands, and stream banks. Part shade to full shade. Plant 6 inches apart. Sold as a single dormant bare root.
