B09. Salix discolor, Pussy Willow, 24-36"

$3.00
sold out
Willows are excellent for wildlife habitat and soil stabilization. Pussy willow has silky catkins that appear in early spring, giving it ornamental appeal and benefitting our native pollinators searching for pollen before the flowers bloom. Grows to a height of 10-20 feet. This species is dioecious and only the male plants have catkins, and the sex is not yet determined for these seedlings, so we reccomend buying 3-5 to plant together in a clump if catkins are desired (and for maximum wildlife benefit). Prefers wetter soil and can grow in full sun, part shade, or full shade. Sold as a small, dormant, single bare root seedling, about 24-36 inches tall.
